Admissions Eligibility
Students interested in the Master of Science in interdisciplinary engineering with a specialization in subsea engineering program must meet and follow the requirements outlined below to be considered for admission:- Bachelor or Master of Science in an engineering discipline.
- Leveling courses required for students with a non-ABET bachelor degree. These leveling courses are in addition to those fulfilling a student’s MEng in Eng degree plan. Some example leveling courses can include differential equations, particle statics and dynamics, and design courses.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 for undergraduate degree and at the graduate level;

- In this one page essay, please give a description of why you want to pursue graduate studies in Interdisciplinary Engineering, subsea engineering, and why you feel that Texas A&M is the right place for your graduate studies. Also, include your academic background in this area, and any relevant experience you may have in this field.Your statement of purpose should be submitted through the online application system.Do not send hard copies of your SOP to the graduate office.
- Three letters of recommendation from professors or employers (Current Texas A&M graduate students may submit two letters of recommendation).It is preferred that these letters come from faculty or employers / supervisors who have been involved with the student’s most advanced levels of academic education and who can assess the student’s potential for advanced scholarly studies. Do not include letters from family friends or other non-technical referees who cannot fairly assess your academic abilities
