I’ve submitted my application. Now what?

Now that you have applied, the wait for an admissions decision begins. This can be nerve-racking, but rest assured that silence is not a bad thing. It means we are working hard to sort through all our applications. We receive on average of 1,000 or more applications, and it can take a while to get through all of them.

Do you have a status of complete?

We only review applications that have a status of complete in EngineeringCAS. Just because you paid and submitted your application, it doesn’t mean your application is complete. Check your status by logging into your EngineeringCAS account and clicking the top right tab labeled “Check Status.”

If your application status says received, it is NOT complete. Go through your application and check what you forgot to do. EngineeringCAS will not consider your application complete until you upload your unofficial transcripts and test scores. If you have submitted official transcripts, please upload a PDF version in EngineeringCAS or the system will not count your application as complete, and we will not review your application.

Updates on Application Status

We do not provide updates on the status of admission applications. If you have a status of complete in EngineeringCAS and we have started our review process, you can assume one of the following scenarios:
  1. Your application is currently under its first review in one of our rounds.
  2. Your application has not undergone its first review and is waiting to be reviewed in its assigned admission review round, i.e., round two, round three, etc.
  3. Your application has been reviewed but has been passed on to the next round for additional review. An applicant can be passed on for additional review several times.
When a final decision is made on an admission application, we notify the applicant immediately by email. The email will come from the following email address:donotreply@webadmit.org. The email originates from our department’s graduate office. Do NOT email the Office of Admissions in regard to this email. They are not the sender.
