年代ee below for Entry to a Major (ETAM) process information for Texas A&M University College of Engineering students at Blinn and the following Engineering Academy program partnerships:Alamo Colleges District, Austin Community College, Blinn College-Brenham, Dallas College, Houston Community College, Midland College, South Texas College, Tarrant County College, and Tyler Junior College.
ETAM uses a priority method that places students in their highest preferred major possible based on their academic performance, ETAM application content and the program’s capacity.
年代tudents must apply to three majors with the option to select up to five majors. Majors must be ranked in order of preference. Students are strongly encouraged to apply during the semester they plan to successfully complete the required coursework with a C or better.
In the interest of academic success, coenrolled students who receive a major offer through ETAM prior to completion of the two-year coenrollment program are required to complete the calculus sequence (MATH 2413, MATH 2414 and MATH 2415) for their admitted major at the two-year partner institution prior to transitioning full time into the major at Texas A&M.
年代tudents who receive acceptance into a major may choose to remain coenrolled for the remainder of the two-year coenrollment program without forfeiting their ETAM offer to that major.
Application Timeline
年代tudents enrolled in Texas A&M Engineering at Blinn or an Engineering Academy program have three opportunities to enter a major, starting with the spring semester of their first year, but no later than the spring semester in which they are completing their two-year coenrollment program.

ETAM Eligibility Requirements
年代tudent ETAM eligibility will be based on at least two semesters of coursework taken at Texas A&M and the two-year partner institution. Students are ETAM eligible based on courses completed at the conclusion of the semester the application is submitted (e.g., for students who submit an application during the spring semester, their eligibility is based upon the courses completed at the end of the spring semester).
Grade point average
Your grade point average must be as follows.
- Two-year partner institution cumulative GPA of at least a 2.5.
- Two-year partner institution term GPA of at least a 2.0.
- Texas A&M cumulative GPA of at least a 2.0.
- Texas A&M term GPA of at least a 2.0.
- Texas A&M will calculate the cumulative GPA at each institution based on the courses taken by the student at that institution. Grades for all transferable courses earned at each institution will be used in the computation of the cumulative GPA for that institution, including failing and incomplete grades and repeated courses.
Required Coursework
Coenrolled students are required to complete at least the following courses with a minimum grade of C or higher:
Engineering:Two Texas A&M engineering courses:
- ENGR 102.
- ENGR 216 or the equivalent cross-listed course PHYS 216.
年代cience*:Two science courses taken at the two-year partner institution from the following list:
- CHEM 1409 (CHEM 107/CHEM 117) or CHEM 1411 (CHEM 119) or CHEM 1311/1111 (CHEM 119)
- CHEM 1412 (CHEM 120) or CHEM 1312/1112 (CHEM 120)
- PHYS 2325 or PHYS 2425 (PHYS 206)
- PHYS 2326 or PHYS 2426 (PHYS 207)
Math*:Two math courses taken at the two-year partner institution from the following list:
- MATH 2413 (MATH 151)
- MATH 2414 (MATH 152)
- MATH 2415 (MATH 253)
- MATH 2320 or MATH 2420 (MATH 308)
- MATH 2318 – Blinn College only (MATH 304)
*One primary objective for required coursework is to observe student performance in at least two science courses and two math courses taken in residence at the two-year partner institution. For students who exhaust all science courses and math courses on the list above (through credit by exam and/or credit earned by dual credit courses or other transferred coursework), please visit with your academic advisor (Blinn,Engineering Academy campuses) to identify alternative courses that may enable you to satisfy course requirements for ETAM eligibility.
Notice about Course Drops, Credit by Exam (AP, IB, CLEP) and Dual Credit
If you drop a math or science course and choose to accept credit in its place, you may unwittingly be jeopardizing your ability to meet ETAM eligibility requirements and automatic entry requirements when you apply.
此外,维持不到一个全职的计谋rse of study can also impact your资格自动输入.
Please contact your academic advisor (Blinn,Engineering Academy campuses如果你正在考虑dering a Q-drop.

Automatic Entry Requirements
The ETAM process includes automatic entry to a student’s first choice major based on the above ETAM eligibility requirements and the following additional requirements:
年代tudents who start in MATH 2413 or higher: Students who begin their first full semester in MATH 2413 (MATH 151) or higher are only eligible for automatic entry during their second semester.
- 年代tudents must be enrolled full time and maintain a full time course study throughout their first and second long semesters; a student who completes a semester with less than full time status will forfeit their automatic entry eligibility. Full-time enrollment is defined in the terms and conditions for each coenrollment program;Alamo Colleges District,Austin Community College,Blinn College-Brenham,Blinn College-Bryan,Dallas College,Houston Community College,Midland College,年代outh Texas College,Tarrant County College, andTyler Junior College.
- 年代tudents must have a 3.75 cumulative GPA or higher at Texas A&M and the two-year partner institution at the conclusion of the semester the application is submitted. Texas A&M will calculate the cumulative GPA at each institution based on the courses taken by the student at that institution. Note that “Grade Replacement Policies” applicable at two-year partner institutions are not applicable in this case. Grades for all transferable courses earned at each institution will be used in the computation of the cumulative GPA for that institution including failing and incomplete grades and repeated courses.
- 年代tudents will not be ETAM eligible or considered for automatic entry:
- If they Q-drop a math or science course, that is needed to satisfy their two math and two science course requirements for ETAM, to accept credit in its place.
年代tudents who start in MATH 2412: Students who begin their first full semester in MATH 2412 (MATH 150) are only eligible for automatic entry during their third semester.
- 年代tudents must be enrolled full time and maintain a full time course of study throughout their first, second and third long semesters; a student who completes a semester with less than full time status will forfeit their automatic entry eligibility.
